1st Visit to Dadap Village

These are images from my first visit to the Dadap community located in the outskirts of Jakarta. I visited with representatives of the Amanah Fund, who introduced me to the recipients of their Microloans. I had insightful discussions with these loan recipients, learning about their upbringings, financial struggles, and how the Amanah Fund has transformed their lives by elevating their businesses (ranging from managing a "Warung" roadside stall to fishing) and encouraging sound, educated financial decisions.

Pamphlet  Distribution Series

These are images of middle and high schoolers in the Dadap Village community receiving their first of a series of inancial literacy pamphlets from Generation Grow. These pamphlets expose these teenagers and young adults to important concepts to achieve financial literacy, in hopes that they would apply this knowledge to their future financial decisions and hopefully help them escape their poverty.
